Personal Statement
Jackie is married to Cllr Les Jones, has two grown up daughters and has lived in the Heatons for 36 years. Her committee duties demonstrate her commitment to the whole of the Heatons area.
Jackie has worked in NHS administration since 1991, and is very aware of the challenges people face when seeking treatment. Jackie is also a member of the Conservative Disability Group and continues to support the good work they do.
Jackie enjoys being a Councillor and representing the people of the Heatons North Ward. She firmly believes that her role is to listen to and represent the views of local people. She is always available to help with any problem large or small, and enjoys being involved in local issues. As a long time resident of the Heatons, she has a great depth of local knowledge and understands the concerns and expectations of residents.
Having 7 grandchildren aged between 6 and 14 years, Jackie knows how important it is that every child has the opportunity to flourish and this very much animates her concern with youth provision and the availability of facilities for children to enjoy themselves outside of the school day.
